My Aorta

I talked with my primary care physician several weeks ago about my still having chest pain. I was concerned because I didn’t know if my heart was acting up. A few of the symptoms from my other illnesses overlap with one another. So, I am not sure if I am having a heart attack sometimes or if the pain is from my tendonitis or my RA. I get frustrated because I can’t go to the ER every time I have chest pains, can I?
Anyways, she suggested I get an ultrasound of my aorta. It was ignorant of me not to know what the aorta was. However, when I got home, I googled it. According to Google, the aorta is the body’s largest artery and carries blood from the heart to the circulatory system. Okay, now I know.
In any case, I waited patiently for the radiology clinic to call me for an appointment. I missed my first appointment because I forgot I wasn’t supposed to eat after midnight. And when I woke up and tested my sugar, it was a little low. So I drank a cup of orange juice without thinking.
When I made another appointment, I made it for early in the morning since I am a diabetic. My sugar was still low the morning of my next appointment, but I refrained from eating or drinking.
The ultrasound wasn’t long, thank God, because I was hungry! I received the results from the ultrasound the next day, and I am thrilled to write that there weren’t any issues with my aorta. I have a cyst on my right kidney; I am not worried about the cyst even though I have to see a urologist because it’s been there for a while.
I will post soon; in the meantime, be safe and have a blessed New Year’s.
